About the Founder

About the Founder

Talent Manager Tracy Curtis has guided her clients in taking major strides in their work, propelling them to the next stages of their careers by helping them attain the game-changing roles actors strive for.

Through a combination of intuition, an unparalleled commitment to achievement and an unwavering support to the people she represents, Tracy has carved herself a place in Hollywood as someone clients and collaborators can look to when they want to win, and win with integrity.

She received her BA from the School of Communications at UCLA and her MFA from the renowned USC School of Cinema-Television. After which, she got her start in the industry working under Hollywood giants Bert Salke, Bob Greenblatt and Peter Chernin.

Although, it was during her time at USC that her talent for editing surfaced, setting Tracy on the path towards a decade-long career as an editor. She got her big break working alongside Barbara Hall on her show, Judging Amy, where Tracy spent four years. Tracy’s work with Barbara continued on to her next show, Joan of Arcadia, and most recently, she edited Barbara’s hit CBS drama starring Téa Leoni and Tim Daly, Madam Secretary.

During a stint in San Francisco, she caught the talent bug and made the shift from editing to talent representation as an agent at Marla Dell Talent. Shortly after, she relocated back to LA and founded The Talent House LA in 2009, which she ran for almost a decade.

But it was her time spent as a gymnast on the US National Gymnastic team and as a contender for the US Olympic gymnastics team, where she truly learned the skill of unrelenting focus and determination as an elite athlete. It’s this same athlete’s focus, drive and training that she carries over into her work, applying this pursuit of success through a positive mindset to her clients’ careers.

Because of her supportive, and almost coach-like, management style combined with her real-world knowledge and expertise, Tracy has seen her clients’ soar.

She is responsible for guiding rising star, Kelly Marie Tran, to land her role in the current Star Wars: The Last Jedi feature film. She’s helped an unknown child actor, Adam Leiva, win a holding deal with NBC and her agency propelled Adam Bartley through the process of landing a series regular role on Netflix’s hugely popular series, Longmire. Many of her clients, including Kelly and Adam, were actors who went from having few credits to having long-term roles or contracts with major productions or networks because of Tracy and her agency’s efforts.

Born into a Hollywood family, Tracy’s father is the late producer-director Dan Curtis, who is best known for creating the sixties cult classic, Dark Shadows. Tracy and her sister, Cathy Curtis, currently own the rights to the show and they are in the early stages of production with Warner Brothers and Amasia Entertainment to relaunch Dark Shadows for a new generation of viewers.
